A Guide to Service Charges
This is a guide of the estimated funeral charges, excluding disbursement fees (examples of which are listed at the bottom of the page)
The examples given here show a small selection of our coffins, and the extensive range of services, which are based on our standard price list. They do not include any concessions; for details of these please call us on 0121 707 6080 or 0121 747 7900.
Classic Coffin Selections
Regent Coffin : seen at the top this traditional styled, oak veneered coffin is the one most frequently requested. A simple but dignified choice.
Warwick Coffin : seen in the middle picture this is a sculptured oak veneer, with raised lid and solid oak fittings, this offers a quality finish at modest extra cost.
Blenheim coffin: shown in the lower picture this is typical of a premium solid mahogany coffin, built by hand using traditional carpentry skills, this shows timeless craftsmanship.
The selection shown on the right is just a fraction of the designs and materials we are able to offer, including

Creating the Funeral
Once we have gathered the necessary information concerning the person who has passed away we are ready to start creating the package you need for the day of the funeral.
We will generaly start with a basic package and then add, change or remove elements of it until you are happy that what remains is what you want.There is never any "hard sell" and there is no timescale so you will not be rushed into making a hasty decision.
A basic package ( which a number of families feel is appropriate in itself ) includes
- escort of the departed from place of death within 40 miles of Birmingham between 7.00am and 7.00pm, initially to our main funeral home in Yardley
- Hearse and driver / bearer for the duration of the funeral
- first family limousine ( which will seat upt to six passengers, depending on build )
- professional service fees
- sufficient bearers for the funeral
- and a Regent style Coffin.
This package, as is, would be £1475.00 plus the disbursement fees.
- To change the style of coffin we would simply deduct £325.00 (the cost of a Regent) and add the cost of your chosen coffin. With a price range from under £300 to over £20,000 the choice is much too extensive to list so please feel free to either call us or request details through our "contact us".

The cost of this service was £3520.00 including all disbursement and parochial fees.

- White Volkswagen Hearseand two matching limousines
- Double length service time in crematorium chapel
- Full nine piece jazz band to play last 100 meters of journey to chapel grounds, during the service, and after the service until the family and friends of the deceased had departed
The cost of this service was £4525.00 including disbursement fees but with no minister.

- Plain Regent coffin with no adornments (except name plate)
- White Horse drawn Hearse led by a motorised hearse for the floral tributes
- Four family limousines (24 passengers)
- One empty limousine following (not sure why)
- Service within cemetery chapel
- Short graveside service prior to the deceased being laid to rest with soloist singing close by
- Release of three white doves ( Father, Son, Holy Ghost)
The cost of this service was £5400.00 including all disbursements and parochial fees

- Plain Elm effect coffin
- Family met at crematorium chapel and we met them there shortly before service was due to start, they had their own bearers
- Chapel was entered in silence, congregation sat in silent meditation for twenty minutes before the curtains were closed around the coffin.
- Not a word was spoken before, during or after the service and, remarkably, this was one of the most moving services we have witnessed
The cost of this service was £1453.00 including disbursements.
A claim was made for assistance from the Funeral Fund and was successful so the total cost to the family of this service was £295.00

- Congregation met at the Woodland Burial Ground where we had already erected our own "mobile chapel" marquee
- Simple service where members of the family and friends of the deceased carried out the service
- No limousines or Minister, but our company bearers
The cost of this service was £3250 including disbursements
